Brittany began training dogs professionally in 2019 and graduated with distinction from theKaren Pryor Training Academy in 2020. Before coming to BreedAbove, Brittany worked in otherdog daycare settings, taught dog training classes, and worked as a canine behavioristaddressing issues like reactivity, extreme prey drive, anxiety, and more. She is particularlypassionate about working with dogs that are often labeled as “stubborn” or “just toomuch”. She is fascinated with how and why both dogs and people learn, and bringing thatscientific understanding into the “real world”.

Brittany strives to make training fun for the dog and pet parent. She places special emphasison meeting a dog's mental and physical enrichment needs, while creating and holdingappropriate boundaries. She teaches pet parents how to more effectively understand their pup and making sure he/she knows what to do, instead of just what not to do. Brittany enjoys training and competing in the dog sports of nose work, rally, and agility with her two dogs,Laika, a too-smart-for-her-own-good terrier/hound mix and Merlin, a cuddly, food-obsessed border terrier.
